The secluded mansion also earned this book a place on my list of fiction books set in Connecticut.

A Halloween book does not have to be terrifying. You can go cozy with a curse, creepy with a haunted house, or straight into slasher territory with a killer clown. Just be careful which one you pick up before bed, because a few of these may have you noticing every little noise in the house.
