Skinwalker Ranch: What Is Behind the Door? A Tarot Reading

Skinwalker Ranch tarot reading banner featuring a Utah ranch, closed wooden door, owl, dowsing figure, map, and tarot card in an archival collage.

Skinwalker Ranch has everything: UFO sightings, strange creatures, mutilated cattle, voices coming from nowhere, equipment failures, possible portals, and a piece of land that seems determined to keep its secrets.

The ranch sits in Utah’s Uinta Basin. It became widely known after the Sherman family spoke publicly in the 1990s about the bizarre things they said happened after they moved there. They reported unusual lights and objects in the sky, enormous wolf-like creatures, missing and dead cattle, and what appeared to be orange openings in the air. Later owners and investigators continued looking into the property, and the stories never really stopped.

Some people believe the ranch is a paranormal hotspot. Some think it is connected to UFOs. Some think there is a portal on the property. Others believe the stories have been exaggerated, misidentified, or deliberately turned into a spectacle.

If you enjoy mysteries involving UFOs, strange creatures, and witnesses trying to explain something that seemed to come from somewhere else, you may also want to read my Hopkinsville Goblins tarot reading.

For this Skinwalker Ranch tarot reading, I wanted to see what the cards would say without deciding ahead of time which explanation had to be true. I began with a twelve-card spread exploring the activity surrounding the ranch. When that reading kept pointing toward keys, thresholds, crossings, and something using the land, I followed it with a five-card reading focused entirely on the possible doorway.

And that second spread is where this reading got very, very weird.

This reading is part of my ongoing paid subscriber series, where I use tarot to investigate unsolved mysteries, haunted locations, UFO encounters, strange historical events, and other stories that still leave us with questions. Paid subscribers receive a new reading every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern for $4 per month or $40 per year.
